My Rental Spot today launched the AI Receptionist, a leasing assistant that answers a property manager’s existing phone number around the clock. It handles listing questions, captures each caller as a lead, and passes the call to a person the moment someone asks for one.
Nothing about the business line changes. The manager dials a short code on their existing phone and the carrier forwards calls to the assistant, so there is no number to port. Every call opens by telling the caller they are speaking to an automated assistant and that the call is recorded. The assistant answers from the manager’s own listing data, asks which property the caller means when there is more than one, and saves the caller’s name and number as a lead in the My Rental Spot CRM.
The assistant hands off to a person before the AI ever responds when a caller asks for one, when they describe an emergency such as gas, fire or flooding (sent to the on-call line), or when it can’t understand the caller twice in a row. It never discusses a caller’s balance, lease or payments, because it can’t verify who is calling. Every call is saved with a recording and a turn-by-turn transcript.
The AI Receptionist runs on Amazon Connect, answers in English, and includes one local US phone number. Starter is $19 per month with 150 minutes and Pro is $49 per month with 500 minutes; AI credits also apply to each call. Learn more at myrentalspot.com/ai-receptionist.
