We charge a small platform fee of 0.8% (max $2) per rent payment transaction. On a typical $1,500 rent payment, that's just $2. This allows us to keep the entire platform — all features, unlimited properties — completely free with no monthly subscription fees.
We may introduce optional premium add-ons in the future, but the core platform will always remain free. We believe every landlord deserves access to professional management tools regardless of their budget.
By default, the applicant (tenant) pays the $30 screening fee as part of their rental application. However, you can choose to cover this cost yourself if you prefer.
By default, both the My Rental Spot platform fee (0.8%, max $2) and Stripe processing fees are deducted from the payment before it's deposited to your account. You can also choose to pass these fees to tenants if you prefer — the choice is yours.
