Yes. All payment data is protected with 256-bit encryption — the same security standard used by major banks. We never store your full card numbers or bank credentials on our servers. All payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant payment partners.

That depends on your landlord's settings. If your property manager enables partial payments, you can use the "Select Charges" option to choose specific items or enter a custom amount. Check with your property manager about their payment policy.

Yes! Every on-time payment made through My Rental Spot automatically contributes to your Renter Score. Consistent on-time payments over time will improve your score, which you can share with future landlords as proof of reliability.

If a payment fails, you'll be notified immediately via email and dashboard notification with the reason for failure. You can retry the payment right away with the same or a different payment method. Failed payments are not recorded against your Renter Score.

My Rental Spot is free to use — there are no subscription fees for renters. Payment processing fees depend on your method: ACH bank transfers are 0.8% (capped at $5), and credit/debit card payments are 2.9% + $0.30. These processing fees go to the payment processor, not to My Rental Spot.
