Add a Property

Five steps to get a property into the system.

Click "Add Property"

From your dashboard sidebar, click Properties → Add Property. Choose the property type: Single Family, Multi-Family, Condo, Townhouse, Mobile Home Park, or Commercial.

Enter Property Details

Fill in the address, property name, number of units, and description. The system auto-verifies the address and pulls in map data.

Add Units

For multi-unit properties, add each unit with details: unit number, bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage, and monthly rent amount. See the Unit Management guide for more.

Upload Photos

Add property and unit photos. Set a cover photo for listings. Organize by category: Exterior, Interior, Common Areas, individual units. See our Photo Log guide.

Configure Settings

Set up payment collection, late fee rules, lease templates, and maintenance preferences. Assign the property to an owner if applicable.

There's no limit. Add as many properties as you manage — single family homes, apartment complexes, mobile home parks, and more.
Yes. My Rental Spot supports all 50 US states with state-specific lease templates and compliance rules for each.
Go to Property Settings → Transfer Ownership. The receiving manager must have a My Rental Spot account. All data, tenants, and history transfer with the property.
Yes. Go to Property Settings → Archive Property. Archived properties are hidden from your active dashboard but all historical data is preserved.
