User Roles &
Permissions

Add team members, assign roles with granular access control, and manage who can see and do what across your organization.

Available Roles

Each role has a different level of access.

👑

Admin

Full access to everything. Manage users, billing, company settings, and all properties. Can add/remove other admins.

🏠

Property Manager

Manage assigned properties: tenants, leases, maintenance, payments, and communications. No access to billing or company settings.

Maintenance Tech

View and update assigned work orders. Upload completion photos and notes. No access to financials or tenant data.

👁️

Viewer

Read-only access to assigned properties. Can view reports, occupancy, and financials but cannot make changes.

Add a Team Member

Invite team members and assign their role.

Go to Team Settings

Navigate to Settings → Team Members. Click "Invite Member".

Enter Details

Enter their name, email, and select a role (Admin, Property Manager, Maintenance Tech, or Viewer).

Assign Properties

For non-Admin roles, select which properties they can access. They'll only see data for their assigned properties.

Send Invitation

Click "Send Invite". They'll receive an email to create their account and set a password.

Common Questions

About roles and permissions.

A Property Manager can manage tenants, leases, maintenance, payments and communications on the properties assigned to them, but has no access to billing or company settings. A Viewer is read-only — they can view reports, occupancy and financials on assigned properties but cannot change anything.
No. The Maintenance Tech role can view and update assigned work orders and upload completion photos and notes. It has no access to financials or tenant data.
When you invite a non-Admin user, choose which properties they can access on the Assign Properties step. They will only see data for the properties assigned to them.
After you click Send Invite they receive an email to create their account and set a password. Their access becomes active once they accept.
Currently we offer 4 pre-defined roles. Custom roles with granular permission toggles are on our roadmap. Contact us if you have specific needs.
Yes. Go to Settings → Team Members, click Edit on the member, and select "Remove." Their access is revoked immediately.
