Set Up Owner Payouts

Configure how and when property owners get paid.

1

Add a Property Owner

Go to Owners and click "Add Owner". Enter their name, email, and assign them to their properties. They'll receive an invitation to the Owner Portal.

2

Connect Owner's Bank

The owner connects their bank account through the Owner Portal via Stripe Connect, or you can enter their payout details on their behalf.

3

Set Management Fee

Configure your management fee per property or per owner: flat fee (e.g., $200/mo) or percentage (e.g., 8% of collected rent). This auto-deducts before payout.

4

Configure Payout Schedule

Set when owners receive payouts: monthly (after all rent is collected), on a specific date, or manual approval each cycle.

5

Enable Monthly Statements

Toggle auto-generated owner statements that show income, expenses, management fees, and net payout. Sent monthly via email and available in the Owner Portal.

Owner Payments & Statements FAQ

About owner payments and statements.

A payout can only be sent after the rent itself has cleared. Bank transfers (ACH) usually settle in two to five business days, so a payout scheduled right after the rent due date reaches the owner a few days later, not the same morning.

Rent collected for the period, any management fee, maintenance and repair costs with their invoices, and the net amount paid out. The statement is what reconciles line by line against the deposit that lands in the owner’s bank account.

Almost always one of three things: a maintenance cost booked into that period, a partial rent payment, or a vacancy. The statement lists each line separately, so the difference can be traced rather than guessed at.

Yes. Statements publish to the owner portal and stay there, so an owner can pull any past period themselves. That removes the monthly email chase for both sides and settles most questions before they are asked.

Yes. Set fees per property or per owner. You can use flat fees, percentage of collected rent, or a combination.
You can configure payouts to only send based on collected rent, or wait until all units are paid. Partial payouts are also supported.
Yes. The Owner Portal provides real-time access to income, expenses, occupancy, and upcoming payouts. See our Owner Getting Started Guide.
You can set a reserve amount per property that's held back from payouts for future expenses. The reserve balance is visible on owner statements.
